Experience is a bad teacher!

SIR — Brigadier Henry Tumukunde says that the UPDF is the only force he knows which prosecutes its generals or senior soldiers in public.

SIR — Brigadier Henry Tumukunde says that the UPDF is the only force he knows which prosecutes its generals or senior soldiers in public.

He’s dead right but what amazes me is that as a lawyer he forgot to mention that the UPDF is also the only force in the world which has representation in Parliament! Tumukunde says he hopes to become the third senior UPDF officer who stood for the truth after Lt. Gen. David Tinyefuza and Col. Kiiza Besigye.

How beautiful it would have been if he had stood for that truth when Tinyefuza was biting and kicking.

When our neighbour’s house catches fire and we say we are not concerned, when we meet the same fate, there will be no one to evacuate us!

I hope this is a good lesson to us all to be our brother’s keeper. But experience is a nasty teacher because it brings the examinations first and the lessons later! Poor Henry!
