SIR — We refer to an article which has appeared in the press about the delays experienced on Centenary bank ATMs on September 5. The Centepoints had a link- telecommunication problem for about 30 minutes.

This was also salary payment day and parents and students were paying school fees. However, we wish to inform all our customers that we have four Centepoints with seven ATMs in Kampala at Entebbe, Nakivubo and Namirembe roads and the corporate Branch at amber House opposite the main post Office. All upcountry branches have ATMs.

In order to reduce queues and improve our customer service delivery, we are soon installing 10 additional ATMs off-site in the Kampala suburbs at Kabalagala, Abayita Ababairi, Natete, Kasubi, Wandegeya, Bwaise, Ntinda, Bweyogerere, Bugolobi and Mukono.

We also wish to advise that we will be launching 60 points of sale terminals in Kampala and its suburbs, Entebbe and Mukono before the year ends. With these terminals, customers do not have to line up at the ATMs. They will simply use their CenteCards to transact their business.
