Toilets in Nakulabye market are filthy and are likely to lead to an outbreak of diseases, Rubaga North MP Tom Kayongo has said.
He asked the Kampala Urban Sanitation Project (KUSP) to rescue the residents.
Kayongo was speaking at the launch of the community hygiene and sanitation campaigns in Nakulabye parish in Kampala at Nakulabye Market on Friday.
The campaigns are aimed at involving city residents in creating a healthy environment.
KUSP, a project under Kampala City Council and funded by the French government, aims at promoting hygiene in communities especially in slums, by constructing toilets, installing water pipes and tanks.
