The government of Iceland and Always Be Tolerant (ABETO), a local NGO, have signed an agreement to train over 200 local leaders in democracy and human rights.

Iceland ambassador and country director for Iceland International Development Agency, Augusta Gilsedottir, signed the agreement with ABETO chief Moses Musana at the Iceland embassy in Kampala.

Musana yesterday said the two-day training was set for late October, at Shimoni Demonstration School in Kampala.

“This is in line with ABETO’s civic education policy. We believe it will empower citizens to make decisions from an informed point of view,” he said.
