<B>Semester system flops</B><br>MBARARA — Mbarara University of Science and Technology has failed to start the semester system for this academic year.

MBARARA — Mbarara University of Science and Technology has failed to start the semester system for this academic year. Speaking in an interview recently, the academic registrar, Stephen Bazirake, said the decision to allow other courses to adopt semester system had not been passed by the university council and senate. He said only the business administration course was using the semester system.

Kayunga gets sh57m school
KAYUNGA — Through numerous contributions, parents in Busaana sub-county have constructed a sh57m secondary
school to uplift education standards in the area. Bugerere High School in Busaana trading centre, was recently opened by chairman Stephen Dagada. Addressing parents, teachers and political leaders, Dagada asked other parents in the country to emulate Busaana sub-county parents in order to uplift the standard of education in their areas and the country at large.
