The luxurious $2m (about sh3.7b) Lindsay Cottages will host some delegates for the Commonwealth Heads of State meeting in 2007.

As part of preparations for the summit, the road from Entebbe Road to the cottages will be tarmacked starting next year, Gideon Mutumba, the general manager, has said.

Mutumba said this recently during celebrations of the cottages first anniversary.

“The murram road from Entebbe highway is to be tarmacked by volunteers starting early next year to ensure smooth rides for our visitors,” he said.

The road branches off at Roofings and passes the National Housing and Construction Corporation, Lincoln International School and the Bible Studies University.

Mutumba said he expected many of the visitors’ parties to be held at the cottages.

He said the cottages would be expanded to include 30 more rooms, whose standard would be similar to the suites already there.
