Four road junctions along Entebbe and Jinja roads are going to be developed soon with Japan’s assistance, an official has said.

“They will soon develop the junctions at Clock Tower, Shoprite, the Yard and the one to Port Bell Road from Jinja Road like they did with the other junctions at Wandegeya and Nateete,” the official said on Wednesday.

It is not yet clear if the roundabout being improved by the Alam Group will be developed.

Konoike Engineering, a Japanese firm, was the main contractor for previous roundabouts.

Traffic jams on some of the developed roundabouts have reduced.

However, there have been complaints that the beautiful flowers and facing bricks lining the improved junctions have been neglected.
