CENTURY Bottling Company (CBC) and the Coca-Cola Africa Foundation have donated $31,000 (sh59m) to the Kabaka’s Foundation.

CBC’s managing director Ndema Rukandema and Coca-Cola Africa’s director for community affairs Dr Nelson Githinji recently handed over the cheque to Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi at his palace in Banda, Kampala.

Mutebi said, “Two years ago, we were introduced to Coca-Cola Africa Foundation. That is when we learnt of its focus on education in its long tradition of corporate philanthropy in fulfilment of its responsibility as a corporate citizen.”

Ndema said, “We were encouraged by the Kabaka Foundation’s initiative of education since it’s the pillar of the country’s development.”

The two foundations focus on education.
