MTN’s board chairman Charles Mbire has said companies should extend charity to the less privileged members of the public.
Mbire said this at a musical concert by M-Lisada Brass Band at Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

He said helping vulnerable groups to improve their living conditions was one of the effective means of eradicating poverty.

US to train

THE US Dairy Export Council will train Ugandan dairy and bakery-products producers in new technologies, the council’s manager for strategic and business development has said.
Annie Bienvenue said the training is aimed at building capacity to produce high-quality products for export.
