JOEL Olweny and Benjamin Musoke made light work of Africa CC scoring half a century each to propel Tornado to a 104 run victory over Africa in the final of the Castle Lager champions knockout trophy at Lugogo oval yesterday.

The winners were rewarded with a cash prize of sh1m from the sponsors, Castle Lager, at a function after the match.

Opening batsman Olweny knocked 54 off 47 balls as Musoke chipped in with 56 off 82 balls to propel the champions to a total of 230 runs in 49.4 overs.

Tornado, that took advantage of poor fielding from youthful Africa, however struggled to score off the effective spin bowling of Innocent Ndawula (5-33) who claimed five wickets including those of Olweny, Musoke and captain Keith Legesi (03).
