SIR — Abortion is illegal in Uganda but I am greatly perturbed by the increasing number of girls going for it! Many stories have been written about abortion and its ordeals yet many girls still indulge in it. <br>

Why allow someone to be responsible for your life? We have family planning pills which cost nothing compared to what one pays for the abortion in terms of convenience, pain and the after-effects.
Abortion is painful and can lead to complications and even death. If the uterus is removed you will never conceive and by the time you need to have children, you will only shed tears and blame yourself until you leave this world.
In most cases, the so-called sweethearts will leave you as soon as they know you are either pregnant or have aborted?
