SIR — I am a businessman operating a licensed guest house at the Malaba border. I am losing business because of the uncontrolled noise levels from the mushrooming disco-cum-shops and salons which are trying outcompete each other to make the most noise! They start at 6:00am and do not stop until midnight!
There is never a quiet moment for one to relax or even make a phone call because of the noise. It is as if there are three or four discos performing at the same time.
I have tried to talk to my LC chairman, in vain. I have even talked to the community liaison police officer who acknowledged the problem, but that is where it ended. Someone out there tell me how I can legally protect myself.
