SC VILLA tactician Micho Sredojevic has been listening to Express “talk the title talk”, now he has challenged them to walk the distance starting this Saturday, when the two clash at Namboole stadium.

The two giants face off in the 2004 league-opener in a contest Micho believes could prove decisive in what could still be a three-way fight for the championship.

Micho, who is becoming a master of managerial mind games in Ugandan football has warned Express it will take more than just the arrival of Kenyan born coach James Sianga to finish top of the league pile.

The Yugoslav fired the first shots when he questioned the ability of Express players to last the pace throughout the season, insisting he wouldn’t swap any of his talented youngsters for any of Sianga’s.

“Experience matters and it will be interesting to see how each of us cope. I see it is going to be very crucial where every game will be important. If any of the giants makes a mistake then that will be trouble especially if it’s a game between ourselves,” Micho said.

Micho believes the crop of youngsters coming through the ranks at Villa park are good enough to sustain the club’s success on three fronts this year.

“Express and KCC have a lot of good players but we have also got a group of young talent who will develop into top players.”
