The defending champions were a class apart as they convincingly eased to three victories through flyweight Rajab Kajoba, featherweight Ben Lubwama and light welterweight Ronald Kasakye.

Mmamba, however, maintained pressure on the front runners, after gunning two crucial wins at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

Victories for light flyweight Ismail Muwendo and bantamweight Saad Kiwanuka pushed Mmamba to within four points of the leaders.

The result heralded a stiff contest among the leading pack Kkobe and Nkima at today’s second semi-final series.
