THE Government will soon embark on repairing the gullied Mityana road.

This was said by the regional cooperation state minister, Nshimye Sebuturo, at the prize-awarding ceremony for Mityana Modern S. S. students who excelled in O’Level examinations on Sunday.

“Government has signed a contract with Energo Project (Uganda) to start filling up the potholes. They will start with the worst off areas.

“However, due to shortage of funds for the complete overhaul of the road, the contractor is to fill up potholes. I appeal to you to keep calm as government looks for more funds,” he said.

Sebuturo thanked the school and other private ones for supporting the government policy of science-based education.

“The high unemployment levels and delays in having our infrastructure repaired are due to lack of engineers. Hence we have got poor rural road networks,” he said.
