FIFA has finally confirmed what has always been suspected in the latest Coca-Cola rankings — that Rwanda is better than Uganda.

Rwanda’s incredible improvement and Uganda’s gradual decline in the last couple of years have resulted in positions 101 and 102 for the respective national teams.

While Rwanda now commands respect all over the continent after competing at the African Cup of Nations for the first time early this year, Uganda, still enduring a 26-year absence in the tournament, is in the lower periphery.

World champions Brazil are ranked first with 842 points. Montserrat is the weakest soccer nation in 204 th position with a miserable 7 points.

Uganda’s 102nd rank is a result of 450 points from FIFA’s ranking system, which uses tournament qualifiers, international friendlies and regional matches as a basis for scoring.
