WANAINCHI men gallantly defended the Alpha Weatherhead hockey title. They beat Kenya’s Green Sharks on spot kicks at Lugogo Sunday. Sharks, the only foreign entry, led the first half 2-0 but Etoma Kamau and Fred Kawooya put the game square. The ladies tie was also decided via spot kicks and Weatherhead lost the title to Makerere Stingers.

Club 61 Wins
AFTER losing out on the schools title during the Kyambogo Open, Nabisunsa Club 61 defeated Stella Maris Nsuube 3-2 to lift the all girls volleyball trophy during the Easter weekend at Nsambya. The event attracted 25 school teams despite the hectic Easter weekend.

A strike by Titus Lubega was enough for table leaders Lukuli get maximum points and keep them perched at the U-13 youth league table. Lukuli leads by four points. Second placed Villa Jogoo also fought for maximum points courtesy of a lone strike from Charles Mwesigye.

Kakungulu!
ONLY two clubs have answered the call for the Kakungulu Cup Cup registration, which started early this week. The knockout tournament set to start in a month’s time produces a team for the Confederation’s Cup. Bombo’s Kakungulu High and Lubaga’s Kajubi Malreen have paid the sh50,000 registration fee.
