The Police in Jinja district are holding a 50-year-old man for allegedly defiling and impregnating his daughter.
Bumali Matembe reportedly lived with his daughter for 15 months since his wife left.
He was arrested in Buwenge town on Sunday.
The deputy officer-in charge of criminal investigation, Wycliff Walimbwa, said Bumali was arrested on Saturday after the girl confessed that it was her father who had imprgnanted her.
The Police said relatives had allegedly called for an impromptu clan meeting when they realised that the suspect’s daughter was pregnant.
The girl was interrogated by clan members and forced to reveal who was responsible after being threatened.
