INFORMATION state minister Nsaba Buturo has asked non-government organisations monitoring government resources to continue probing and exposing agents of corruption.
“You should continue probing and stepping on the toes of those misbehaving,” he said.
He was inaugurating the new board of the Uganda Debt Network (UDN) at Hotel Africana recently.
Buturo said the Government should be commended on innovations in social services, press freedom and allowing free and fair elections.
The UDN new board members include Nduhukire Owa-Mataze as chairperson, Robinah Rubimba as vice chairperson, Francis Ojambo, Sylvia Angey and three committee members.
Buturo asked the newly elected members to familiarise with themselves the new bill on access to information which he said will soon become a law.
“Since you are champions of transparency, you should familiarise with information issues so that you can contribute to the bill before it’s passed into law,” he said.
