Kasese resident district commissioner Kiiza Rwebembera has lauded the media for its role in mobilising rural communities for peace, stability and development.
“The majority of the people in Uganda depend on the media, especially radio broadcasts, to get information. To them, what is said on radio is nothing but the truth,” Rwebembera said.
He was recently opening a three-day training workshop for 30 radio journalists in the west at Virina Hotel in Kasese town.
It was organised by the Uganda Media Development Foundation and funded by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. Ends
