THE Egyptian-owned Arab Contractors, has won the contract to renovate Udyam House at sh6.5b, reports Yunusu Abbey.
Situated on Plot 4 Jinja Road, the 43-year-old Udyam House belongs to National Social Security Fund (NSSF). “NSSF has awarded the contract to Arab Contractors after they accepted to rehabilitate the building at sh6.5b,” a source said.
The building which was bought from the Mehta Group at sh9.7b is dilapidated. Leonard Mpuuma, NSSF’s managing director, said the deal had been sealed. “What remains is for us to sign some contract documents,” he said.
