Danish envoy commissions sh160m projects in Kayunga

A Danish envoy, Kelly Kelly, recently commissioned projects worth sh160m in Kayunga district.

A Danish envoy, Kelly Kelly, recently commissioned projects worth sh160m in Kayunga district.

The projects included a maternity ward, an out-patients clinic, a six-classroom block and a toilet worth sh6m at Kayunga Girls Primary School and a water plant in Kayunga town council.

Others included 10 boreholes and two protected spring wells in Nazigo sub-county as well as two classroom blocks and teachers’ quarters at Ndeeba Church of Uganda Primary School in Kayunga town.

The projects were commissioned under the Denmark Micro-Project Programme.

Kelly Kelly commended the district council for effecting the European Development Fund micro-projects in the district.

He said Kayunga ranked top of the 10 districts which effected the programme.

He thanked the district council for being fair in awarding tenders and thus awarding them to contractors who did satisfactory work.
He appealed to residents to properly use the new facilities.
