NGO helps 14,000 kids

Caritas Australia, an international NGO has launched an appeal to help rehabilitate about 14,000 children who have been abducted and used as fighters, labourers and sex slaves by the Lord’s Resistance Army.

Caritas Australia, an international NGO has launched an appeal to help rehabilitate about 14,000 children who have been abducted and used as fighters, labourers and sex slaves by the Lord’s Resistance Army.

In a press release on June 2, 2004, the Caritas Australia Africa Programs Co-ordinator, Scott Martin, said funds collected would be used to provide social and material support for the ex-child soldiers.
