Katalemwa Cheshire Home recently bid farewell to their chairman, Frank Griffiths

Katalemwa Cheshire Home recently bid farewell to their chairman, Frank Griffiths, reports Patrick Jaramogi.

“I am glad the home has been able to make a change to thousands of children that have passed through here. I am also extremely happy that for the six years I have been in Uganda, children have been rehabilitated and taken care of,” he said.

Griffiths, the home’s management committee chairperson and outgoing Barclays Bank chief, was speaking at the farewell party in his honour at the Mpererwe-based home on Saturday.

He promised to secure more funds for the 30-year-old home that looks after disabled children, which the home’s administrator, Sr Mary Gertrude Nantale, said the home has over 60 children.
