KAMPALA – A studio owner has told the Commercial Court that he only reproduces foreign music because there is no one to query him over it. Fred Mukubira, owner of FM Studio in the Old Taxi Park, denied before Justice Geoffrey Kiryabwire that he duplicates local singers’ music in his studio.

Two jailed
KAMPALA – The City hall court has sentenced two men to a 15-month term each. Grade One magistrate Deborah Wanume sentenced Zakaria Okello, 49, and Robert Gimey, 18, both of Lugogo by-pass, Nakawa, for stealing 228 angle-bars and 30 bags of Bamburi cement valued at sh7.38m.

Mpigi hosts
MPIGI – The district is to host this year’s World Population Day national celebrations, which are to be held in Gombe, Kibibi sub-county on July 11. The district LC5 vice-chairperson, Jane Nakyomya, said this at a preparatory meeting with officials from the population secretariat.
