SHOES SPEAK

Just like clothes say something about one’s personality, so do shoes. The passionate person will opt for something showy while a conservative one will settle for a calm look. <br>

Just like clothes say something about one’s personality, so do shoes. The passionate person will opt for something showy while a conservative one will settle for a calm look.
“Whenever l meet a man for the first time, my eyes will go straight to his shoes. In fact, l will not accept to date a man with worn shoes because this says a lot about his character,” Rosette Kintu observes.
Shoes are a fashion statement. They can ruin or accentuate the appearance of an outfit. A power suit would be killed if teamed with a pair of flip-flops.
A sarong teamed with a casual top will go well with the flip-flops when out at the beach.
At the recent East African hair competition, Steve Jean, a local musician, wore a suit teamed with trainers. Looking at his choice of shoes, l realised that only an artiste can get away with that.
Shoes should complement and enhance your attire. The platform just won’t do for that board meeting because it waters down power dressing.
Wedge shoes add style to a casual look. Just make sure you get the look right by choosing the appropriate shoes to match.
High-heeled sandals are very popular because women with pretty feet get to show them off. Have a professional pedicure done so that you are able to wear your sandals with confidence. Old chipped nail polish is just not on for this style. Poorly maintained nails will overshadow even an expensive and beautiful pair of sandals.
According to www.2heels.com, for most heel wearers, without any doubt the stiletto is the most sexy and feminine style of high heel that has ever been made.
The stiletto is back with thin heels that give the wearer a very feminine appearance. High heels give you a sway that is graceful and gentle. Pumps are great for a trouser suit. The result is smashing and you cut a serious no nonsense look. Pumps are comfortable and practical for someone who needs to do a lot of walking.
Shoes with straps to tie around the legs are not for the office. These are especially popular for entertainers, which is okay because their intention is to grip the audience’s attention.
The strappy look works especially for shapely limbs. The strappy sandal can be teamed with a short dress or skirt.
Boots give a commanding presence as though the wearer is an army officer. These are appropriate for a casual look. Do not mess up an elegant outfit with boots.
The length varies with some being thigh-high but with our sunny weather it is likely to get a bit uncomfortable. Just because something is trendy does not mean that it goes with anything.
Get your look right and step out with confidence and loads of style.
