A Nigerian has been arrested at Entebbe International Airport with heroine worth sh60m

A Nigerian has been arrested at Entebbe International Airport with heroine worth sh60m, reports Steven Candia.

The suspected trafficker, Ignatius Nnadimele, 26, from Imo in Nigeria, was arrested on Monday shortly after alighting from an Emirates plane.

The Police said Nnadimele was trying to clear with immigration at the airport after flying through Dubai on flight EK723 from Karachi in Pakistan, considered a major source of the drug, when he was nabbed, at about 4:30pm.

Nnadimele reportedly had no money for a visa and did not have any contact person in Uganda.

Suspicious immigration personnel alerted the Police, who searched and arrested him.

During the search, the Police found one kilogramme of heroine concealed in packets of powder detergent soap.
