JINJA — District Plan for Modernisation of agriculture (PMA) coordinators have asked the PMA secretariat to remit funds in time. During a PMA review meeting at the Nile Resort Hotel on Wednesday, they attributed poor agricultural performance in the previous season to the farmers’ failure to plant in time and planting crops which mature slowly.

Project launch
MUKONO — President Yoweri museveni is to launch the sh6.5b first phase of the Seeta Water Project at the Movement Day celebrations today. Mukono North MP Peter Bakaluba Mukasa said this at a security meeting in the district boardroom on Tuesday.

Sh500m fund
KAMPALA — Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala on Sunday launched the Rubaga Cathedral renovation fund, seeking sh500m to repair the leaking roof. He also launched a fund to help over 150 seminarians in Kampala Archdiocese.
