SIR— The long-awaited report on the Bwebajja disaster several weeks ago is finally out.
SIR— The long-awaited report on the Bwebajja disaster several weeks ago is finally out.
It confirms suspicions that much of the planning was done ‘on the back of an envelope’, that is, by amateurs instead of professionals.
For developments in the hotel and hospitality sector, architects, consultant engineers and qualified contractors must be involved in all the planning and building stages. Quality control and supervision should be a must.
