Ssembabule — district chairman Herman ssentongo has said the district council will sue the Ministry of lands and water for failing to construct nine valley dams. He said the Directorate of Water Development was supposed to construct nine valley dams in Lugusulu, Ntuusi and Lwemiyaga under the water for production programme in January.

MP predicts
RUKUNGIRI — Woman MP Winnie Matsiko has predicted a 90% win for the National Resistance Movement Organisation come 2006. Consulting Nyakishenyi and Nyarushanje sub-counties on the White Paper on Monday, Matsiko said the Movement had done a lot for the people and they would reward it in 2006.

Murder case
MUBENDE — A UPDF soldier, who allegedly stabbed his neighbour on witchcraft accusations, has been committed to the High Court. Mubende Magistrate’s Court heard that Everisto Sebudilima, attached to Nakasongola Army Barracks, allegedly murdered Damina Kamotoka on June 14, 2003 at Kyawakulungu.

Ayume plea
KAMPALA — The wife of former Attorney General Francis Ayume has petitioned court to grant her letters of administration over her late husband’s estate. Elizabeth Ayume filed the application before High Court deputy registrar in charge of family matters Roy Byaruhanga yesterday.
