Eagle’s Production, arguably one of the biggest on the land, was until last week a Uganda Breweries-sponsored band. In a sudden twist of events, however, the band has now switched allegiance, and is now sponsored by Nile Breweries Ltd.

On Wednesday, the group members, Geoffrey Lutaaya, Ronald Mayinja, Mesarch Ssemakula and Grace Ssekamate signed a contract with Nile Breweries, at their depot in Luzira.

The one-year deal, subject to renewal, saw Nile Breweries unveil state--of-the-art equipment worth sh100m. “We switched allegiance after getting fed on empty promises for a long time.

We are happy with this initiative and our fans can only expect better output from us owing to the state-of-the-art equipment we have been accorded,” group member Ronald Mayinja said, adding that their home fans at AY Club Makindye, should expect better sound output.

To celebrate their new marriage, two shows, one at Nakivubo stadium and another at Mbale stadium, are scheduled for November 20 and 28, respectively.
