The district CID chief, Patrick Basuta, said Nawenda was waylaid by unknown people at Lusakalwammese in Lwankoni sub-county on Sunday. The police found an anonymous letter at Nawenda’s courtyard, threatening to kill his wife.

NGOs urged
KAMPALA — organisations for children affected by HIV/AIDS have been urged to increase awareness on the dangers of the scourge. A 10-day training workshop for children’s NGOs at Kampala Kolping House, Bwaise, last Friday resolved to take the campaign to the grassroots.

New bishop
MUBENDE — Prof. Joseph Anthony Zziwa (above) will be installed as bishop of Kiyinda-Mityana diocese on Sunday. Bishop Emeritus Joseph Mukwaya will preside over the ceremony, which will start at 10:00am. Prof. Zziwa, a former lecturer of Church history and pathology at St. Mary’s National Seminary in Ggaba, was consecrated two years ago as Bishop co-adjutor of the diocese. He becomes the third bishop of the diocese.
