A Grade Two Magistrate in Gulu on Monday committed suicide by dousing himself with petrol and setting himself on fire.

A Grade Two Magistrate in Gulu on Monday committed suicide by dousing himself with petrol and setting himself on fire.
The incident took place at Aywee sub-ward in Pece Division, Gulu Municipality, at about 1:00pm.
The area LC1 chairman, Jackson Ojok, said Pido Komakech, whose wife had started sleeping in a separate bed, killed himself when the wife was asleep.
Komakech was recently charged with receiving a sh30,000 bribe. He was released on court bail.
He was later interdicted and has since stayed at home.
The regional CID officer, Dennis Odongpiny, said the Police was investigating the incident.
