<b>Man burnt</b><br>KAMPALA — A man was burnt to death on Saturday morning when a wild fire broke out in Kisenyi, a city slum. Moses Okunga, 40, was sleeping in a kiosk.

KAMPALA — A man was burnt to death on Saturday morning when a wild fire broke out in Kisenyi, a city slum. Moses Okunga, 40, was sleeping in a kiosk. The fire also destroyed six maize mills worth millions of shillings. Chief fire officer Joseph Mugisa said the fire broke out at 4:10am. He said a charcoal stove in one of the wooden structures could have caused it.

LC killed
NAKAPIRIPIRIT — The LC5 secretary for education, Peter Lopus, was shot dead on Wednesday. Moroto district CID officer Romano Okuja said Iriama, 33, was gunned down at around 8:50pm at a friend’s house. The killers are still unknown. Iriama was the LC5 councillor for Lorengedwat sub-county, Pian county.

Police hunt
MASAKA — The police are looking for fishermen at Dimo landing site in Bukoto Central who are suspected to have burnt a murder suspect. Eribu Sserunjogi was tied with ropes and set ablaze on Friday after fishermen suspected him to have bribed his way out of Police cells. The Police deny the allegations.
