THE Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has threatened to use other options if the Government continues to harass them.

FDC’s co-chairman Sam Njuba yesterday said, “We are warning the government not to push us to the wall. Just because we have chosen to bring about change by peaceful means does not mean that we are cowards or have no other options.”

He did not state the options that FDC would resort to.

Njuba was reacting to an incident on Sunday where FDC officials were allegedly blocked from holding a consultative meeting with their supporters in Kireka, a Kampala suburb, by Kiira Town Council mayor Mamerito Mugerwa.

But Mugerwa yesterday denied barring Njuba’s group from holding meetings in Kireka.

“I did not chase them away. As a secretary for security, I had heard that they were in my area. I was just monitoring because they had not informed us that they would be in our area,” Mugerwa said on phone.
