THE National environmental management authority (NEMA) is to distribute anti-smoking circulars to owners of public places in January.
Western regional NEMA chief Jeconious musingwire on Thursday said this follows a public smoking ban by environment minister Col. Kahinda Otafiire in March.

THE Rotary club of Mbarara has hosted a Christmas party worth sh1m for 200 children, the club’s president, Fred Mugizi, has said.
The children enjoyed drinks, popcorn and cake at the Agip motel gardens on sunday.

The Integrated community Based Initiative, an NGO in Bushenyi, has trained 170 HIV/Aids parish mobilisers.
Chairman Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye, while closing a three-week workshop, asked the mobilisers to convince the people to test for HIV/AIDS.
