Remain virgins, minister tells youth

ROBERT Sebunya, the Mengo government health minister, has said virginity is one of the ways the spread of HIV/AIDS among the youth can be curbed.

But this is one of the ways the AIDS scourge can be prevented,” he said.Sebunya also Rotary International District 9200 governor, was on Monday speaking at a Buganda government health ministry workshop on child spacing, population and HIV/AIDS sensitisation for church marriage counsellors.The workshop was held at Bulange Mengo.Rev. Fr. Peter Matovu from Makerere University said child spacing could be effected using self-control.Matovu, an Orthodox Christian said condoms and contraceptives were not a good measure for child spacing.Nelson Kawalya, former Rotary District 9200 governor, appealed to participants to focus not only on girls but on boys as well.
