Vienna College offers top students sh17.4m in scholarships

By Josephine MaserukaVIENNA College, Namugongo has offered two scholarships worth US$9600 about sh 17.4m to the best male and female pupils in this year’s Uganda Primary Leaving Examination.Mr. J.C. Muyingo one of the directors said, “This is intended to encourage pupils to aim higher.”The school will this term get a centre number from Cambridge University to conduct examinations for the award of the International Cambridge School Certificate, the equivalent of ordinary and advanced certificates of education.The best pupils will only benefit from the scholarship if they study at Vienna College, where all their school expenses will be met up to senior four.
