Interested persons should obtain application forms (PSC Form 3) in Triplicate from the Secretaries of District Service Commissions Serving Officers should route their applications through their Heads of Department. Photostat copies of academic qualifications, CV's and any other relevant documents should be attached. (Also attach 3 passport size photographs on your Application form.) N.B: For the posts of Headship, Deputy Headship and Teachers for primary schools interested persons should obtain application forms (TSC form 3) from the District Service Commission Secretaries or DEO's Office. For Headship and Deputy Headship posts applicants must be Uganda Teachers who are registered, appointed and confirmed in appointment. Applicants already in Service must route their applications through DEOs or Heads of Institutions in which they are serving Photocopies of academic certificates and other supporting documents must accompany the application forms (including 3 passport size photos). Minimum Qualifications: An Honours Degree from a recognised University. A minimum of 3 years experience in administrative duties in either a Ministry or District Council is essential. - Should have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Administration or Development Studies. Duties & Responsibilities: -Responsible to the Chief Administrative Officer for the prompt and effective administration of the County. - Co-ordinate all District Council programmes and activities in the County. - Attend and facilitate Local Council IV meetings. - Ensure proper financial accountability in all Sub-counties in her/his area of jurisdiction. Post: Sub-County Chief Salary Scale: U5b-4 No. of Vacancies: 2 (Two Posts) Age Limit: 25 - 55 years Minimum Qualifications: An (Hons) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University. - Should be trainable and have an outgoing personality and ability to coach and develop subordinates Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible to Local Council III and Accounting Officer at that level. - Carry out general administration in conformity with Government regulations and policies, lawful Local Council by-laws and policies. - Overall administration and management of a sub-county staff. - Collect Government Revenue. - Prevent the commission of offences and public nuisance. - Supervise and inspect the implementation of Local Council policies by residents - Supervise and inspect the implementation of social economic development projects in a sub-county. - Detect and bring offenders to justice. - All duties as outlined in the Local Government Act 1997 Section 70. - Any other duty as may be assigned by the Local Council III.
