Support Mateke, says MP Buturo

By Darious MagaraBUFUMBIRA East MP in Kisoro district, Dr. James Nsaba Buturo, has urged residents to forget differences that emerged during the campaigns and support Dr. Philemon Mateke.Mateke, a former minister, was recently elected the LC5 chairman with overwhelming votes .While in Kisoro at the weekend, Buturo called on all Bafumbira to support Mateke and his council “to forge unity and work for development.”“We should focus on development. We must fight poverty and illiteracy,” Buturo said.He called on the losers in the recent elections to support the winners for the good of the district. Buturo advised residents of Bukimbiri, Nyundo and Nyabwishenya sub-counties to grow tea.He said the Government would support tea growing in the area in an effort to fight poverty. Buturo said it had been discovered that the soils in the area were suitable for the crop.
