Give Hasule a break

SIR - Over the past two months sports scribes had given Paul Hasule a new name — Draw —after five straight draws in the Nile Special Super League. The ‘Draw’ tag almost stuck until the Police coach broke the jinx by winning his sixth match against Iganga. But to me, the fact remains that Hasule is not a soccer misfit and his achievements as coach and player have been conspicuous. Therefore his five league draws should be the stepping stone to win their forthcoming matches. A lot should be learnt from their draws against KCC and Express. These draws reflected the cops’ desire to avoid defeat at all costs. And with the victory over Iganga there is a ray of hope for Police. But most importantly this was the first victory for Hasule in a spell of less than two months at Naguru, not forgetting his near impeccable record at Villa Park. This leap from draws to victory should not baffle many people. It is a result of Hasule’s coaching ability. This has helped Police to trap the most prolific of scorers.Do not be surprised if Hasule leads Police to finish among the top teams in the Super League this year.Moses Matsiko
