Job Opportunity -- Program Manager

A non-governmental organization with operations in Northern Uganda is seeking to fill the position of Program Manager.The Program Manager will provide direction and leadership for all programs and operations. The successful candidate will possess proven and strong operational leadership and team building skills, budget oversight skills, personnel development and management, demonstrated experience in the principles of participatory community-oriented development, capacity building and familiarity with responding and working within emergency situations, ability to negotiate with Local Government, donor and NGO personnel. Strong communication and analytical skills oral/written, demonstrated ability to write concisely and convincingly, experience in proposal writing, strong organizational skills.A core responsibility is to ensure that projects are planned and executed with quality, accountability and measurable impact.Qualifications:- Masters in Public Health, Social Science or relevant field.- At least three years in multi-sector project management experience including emergency relief, health and/or sustainable development with a Non-Governmental Organization.- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel.
