MATTHEW Kalema will captain the UPDF football team to the Africa Military games slated to start on Monday in Nairobi, Kenya.

By Norman Katende MATTHEW Kalema will captain the UPDF football team to the Africa Military games slated to start on Monday in Nairobi, Kenya.The teams leave on the weekend for the inaugural games, set to attract 32 countries from all over the continent.The games are being held under the theme “Friendship Through Sports.” Uganda has only entered in five disciplines out of the eleven. The former Simba star was named captain of the team that has been undergoing training at Bombo Barracks under coaches Sam Simbwa and Vicent Lukyamuzi.Also named was the handball team.The boxing, athletics and tae-kwondo team were yet to be named.Uganda hosted the zonal qualifiers in January in Kampala.The football team:Alloysius Kimera, Godfrey Tomusange, John Kayanja, Andrew Kabuga, Alex Ssebitosi, Mawejje Nsibwe, Frank Ssebagala, Mike Oyem, Alex Dumba, Eric Kato, Deo Agaba, Muhammad Kwesiga, Godfrey Wekaza, Richard Katende, Collin Tomusange, Matthew Kalema, Kareem Asuma and Abbas Serubugo.ends
