By James OdongLamwo county Member of Parliament Hillary Onek has said he undertook a masters degree at Makerere University in 1998 out of frustration.“After 16 years of dedicated service to this country as managing director National Water and Sewerage Corporation, I thought the best way to take refuge from the political pressure was in books,” Onek told guests at a graduation party at his Luzira residence, recently. He and his wife Beatrice obtained master’s degree in business administration. His sister in-law, Joyce Oryem, the wife of state minister for sports, Henry Oryem obtained a master of science degree in financial management. The state minister for energy, David Migereko and that of minerals development, Kamanda Bataringaya, attended. Migereko appealed to Onek who is the chairman of the parliamentary committee on natural resources to instill discipline in some members.“During your sick leave, we experienced indiscipline among some members, but we are happy you are back,” he said.Ends
