By Ahmed Angulibo The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal affairs, Eriya Kategaya, has directed Yumbe Resident District Commissioner Ahmed Mustafa Doka to organise a tour for Uganda National Rescue Front (UNRF II) rebels. He said it would be good for the rebels to see developments in Uganda.Kategaya gave the directive on Saturday at PRAFORD site in Kuru sub-county, Yumbe district after the signing of the formal cease-fire agreement between the government and the UNRFII rebels. “Organise a tour for UNRFII to see what Uganda is like because they have stayed outside Uganda for too long. Let them see the real peace,” Kategaya said.He called for an end to the theory that if one wanted to protect his interests, he had to use a gun. He said many people applied to him for guns but he said if all people were given guns it would be difficult to control and follow them up in case a crime was committed. “I thank the UNRFII chairman, Maj. Gen. Ali Bamuze, for agreeing to sign this formal cease-fire agreement. This shows that you are committed to peace. It will also allow your soldiers to have good relations with the UPDF”, Kategaya said. Ends
