Jinja LC5 Blasts Saboteurs

By Godfrey Kagoda THE Jinja district LC5 chairman, Fredrick Gume, has blasted individuals who allegedly make misleading statements over the radio to disorganise his plans.Gume said he would not be easily blown off-course but would work tirelessly to satisfy the electorate.He was recently speaking at celebrations to mark the International Day of the African Child held at Bugembe where he was the chief guest. He called upon parents not to produce more children than they can care for.He advised parents to identify the talents of their children and develop them because they could be great assets for the children.Gume warned parents against the habit of selling off their daughters at an early age.He said he would advise his council to make stiff bye-laws which would include banishment from the district as a penalty.
