Deal with robbers thus

SIR— Of recent there have been robberies in buses and taxis. The robbers get in as passengers, only turn against fellow passengers and plunder them. Take the recent case of the Post bus which was destined for Kampala from Soroti. Just near Atutar Hospital the feigned passengers put everybody at gun point, look over driving, grabbed mobile phones and the luggage of the passengers chased them out of the bus, and later abandoned it at Nakaloke near Mbale.I have a strong suggestions: Let the road-blocks be re-introduced as has always been the case between Mbale and Tororo. There are always impromptu road - blocks to check every one’s luggage. This action might greatly reduce gun-trafficking and eminent robberies.This is for Katumba Wamala to take note and act.Francis OnyaitTororo
