SIR— I would like to respond to a recent view in some sections of the press like the one by Kintu Nganda in one of the dailies on August 24 where he argued that Reform Agenda members from western Uganda are not arrested whenever they are caught in criminal acts.I disagree. In the first place, the view is sectarian in itself. Common sense would say only those who have been engaged in armed activities against the elected government and have been identified by security services have been arrested. I would even say that the few already arrested and charged in court are from western Uganda. As for Col Kizza Besigye, he is outside the jurisdiction of Uganda’s authority. My view is that we should impartially blame whoever violates the Constitution without fear or favour.Joseph Lolem, Kotido District
