EXPRESS and KCC will have a chance to boost their scoring records when they host lowly opposition this week.
KCC face table tailing Kasese while Express take on an equally frustrated SCOUL in a busy Nile Special Super League week.
Police should light up the week with an easy win over Kasese today before the western side faces more fire from Sam Ssimbwa’s KCC.
Ssimbwa, in charge of his third match at Lugogo, is tomorrow expected to make a point after a dull start against relegation bound Arua Garage.
KCC struggled to a 1-0 win over the Mbale side in the dying minutes last week. The city lads went further on Saturday by beating Mbale Heroes 2-0 at Nakivubo.
Paul Hasule’s Police the next day faces a test of stamina against army side Military at Kakindu in the policemen’s second match in a week. The same day will have Maji hosting Iganga.
Express on Thursday has to beat SCOUL to sustain their chase for second position. For SCOUL, it is a win at all costs if the Lugazi side is to keep alive its chances of regaining some pride after being relegated to division one.
The match also evokes memories of the first round encounter between the two sides, whose points were controversially awarded to the Red Eagles following crowd violence.
That the decision marked the start of SCOUL’s slump, is the reason for Leo Adraa’s side to be all out for revenge at Nakivubo.
Express will nevertheless still trot onto the field as favourites. The Red Eagles’ capacity could however depend on whether they have raised their form after struggling in their last game.
The Wankulukuku side only managed to beat lowly Maji in the last ten minutes.
