Amazon Rhino hope to avenge a one-point defeat by Lady Bucks two weeks ago when they clash in the 114th game of the FUBA season at the YMCA today.
Amazon have tremendously improved in the past two seasons. A win today will boost their bid for a playoff spot in November.
Amazon will be spurred by ‘twin-towers’ Barbara Namukaaya and Alice Munezero,
Amazon will also look to Joselyn Karungi, Olivia Mulwana and Safina Nakato, some of the fastest guards the women’s league has produced in recent years. They will be expected to take the ball to the bigger Lady Bucks team.
Against the Bucks, whose blend of experience has been their strong point, Amazon will have to put in a double effort.
Lady Bucks captain Christine Amongi will lead a side determined to maintain first position on the table.
In the men’s action, Charging Rhino will be eyeing a 13th straight victory and a higher chance at the play-offs.
